Paul McCartney made his triumphant return to the stage on Wednesday night,marking his first live performance in more than a year.

During the nearly three-hour set, Paul mixed in his own solo hits alongside his work with the Beatles and Wings. Paul opened the show with “Can’t Buy Me Love””

At the end of the show, McCartney thanked the crowd for their support and said that he had a great time. He also promised to return to Australia soon.

“I love you, Adelaide,” he said. “I’ll be back.”

McCartney’s Australian tour continues with shows in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Gold Coast.

Paul’s Australian tour continues through early November, after which he will play Mexico for a pair of shows and then embark on a five-city jaunt through Brasil.
