Ringo Starr has announced details for his annual birthday celebration. On July 7, 2019, he’ll turn 79 and will return to Capitol Records Tower at 1750 N Vine St. in Los Angeles for his annual Peace & Love celebration, where he and a starr-studded group of classic rock stars and other celebrities will join gathered fans.

Accompanying Starr for the 2019 celebration will be his wife, Barbara Starkey, musicians Edgar Winter, Benmont Tench, Nils Lofgren, T-Bone Burnett, Jim Keltner, Sheila E, and Gregg Bissonette, plus David Lynch, Ed Begley Jr and Richard Lewis. More guests will be announced soon. At photo op begins at 10:45 a.m. Performances of Ringo’s songs begin at 11 a.m., followed by a brief welcome from Lynch who will introduce the guest of honor. Ringo will lead gathered family, friends and fans in a group #PeaceandLove moment at Noon. Cake will then be presented on stage.

Ringo began these celebrations in 2008 at the Hard Rock Café Chicago and last year he celebrated the 10th Anniversary at the Hard Rock Café Nice. In the ensuing years it has grown enormously and in 2018 there were Peace & Love events in over 60 countries. August 2019 marks the 30th anniversary of Ringo and His All Starr Band and they will hit the road for a celebratory tour which concludes September 1 at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles, nearly 30 years to the day when the inaugural All Starrs completed their first tour on September 3, 1989. (See dates below.)

The 2019 edition of the band features Toto’s Steve Lukather, Men at Work’s Colin Hay, Santana and Journey’s Gregg Rolie, Warren Ham, Gregg Bissonette and the return of All Starr alumnus Hamish Stuart.
