Alicia and Stella also made a video posted to Youtube to spread their message. ‘Every 19 seconds a woman around the world is diagnosed with breast cancer,’ Stella opens the black and white video.
Stella continued to speak as she revealed she lost her mother – Linda McCartney, married to Paul McCartney – to breast cancer when she was 19-years-old.
Alicia added: ‘We are here to start a conversation and break the taboos and to encourage everybody to go get checked.’ The lovely ladies smile and laugh as they share a hug to end the video.
