Paul says there is a ‘remote possibility’ he will headline for the festival’s 50th anniversary. Speaking to the BBC, he said: ‘People are saying that it would be good if I did it, so I’m starting to think about whether I can or whether it would be a good thing. ‘My kids are saying “Dad we’ve got to talk about Glastonbury,” and I think I know what they mean.’ Listen to your kids, Paul, for the love of God. ‘It’s starting to become some remote kind of possibility. It’s definitely not fixed yet but people are starting to talk about it,’ he added.
Michael Eavis – the organiser of Glastonbury – told BBC Somerset: ‘Paul’s on good form at the moment.’ The interviewer asked whether it meant Paul would be headlining the festival to which he said ‘hopefully’. The idea of Paul McCartney performing Glastonbury would make fans weep considering hundreds of fans recently flocked to Abbey Road to recreate the iconic album cover for its 50th anniversary.
