Sam Mendes, renowned director of Skyfall, has unveiled his ambitious vision for a sweeping four-part biopic chronicling the legendary journey of the Beatles. Mendes promises to place each member of the iconic quartet squarely in the spotlight, capturing the essence of the world’s most influential band from their humble beginnings in Liverpool to their meteoric rise to global superstardom.

However, there has been speculation regarding the casting options for John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr. Sean Lennon has express his hopeful casting choice for the role of his father in Mendes’ film.

Sean shared his support for Mendes’ decision to produce the biopic. “I do think with someone as famous as my dad, it’s very hard to cast a film like that,” Sean said. “There have been some very successful biopics about music people. La Vie en Rose was incredible. Ray was amazing. You can pull it off, and I think we’re gonna do a good job, so I’m excited. I’m hoping that Emma Stone might consider it because she did such a good job in Poor Things,” Sean continued. Stone recently took home the Academy Award for Best Leading Actress at the 2024 Oscars for her role in the film. “I think if you’re gonna reach that as an actor, the next obvious step is to really go for it and be John Lennon.”

Mendes’ ambitious four-movie project, set for release in 2027, enjoys the unwavering support of surviving Beatles icons Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, alongside the estates of John Lennon and George Harrison.

“I’m the DP. I’m the grip,” he confessed. “And I’m also catering, which you wouldn’t expect that, but I’ll be cooking up a storm.” Sean said.
