Brian Ray posted a comment on his official website about his latest performance with Paul McCartney in Mexico. Ray said that he “was struck with the passion of the crowd”:
Hello friends, far and wide!
It’s been a while since I caught up with all of you beautiful people. I’m on a short break from Paul McCartney’s Got Back tour after a thrilling run in Australia and two spectacular shows in Mexico City.
I can’t explain how much I love my job, but I want all of you to know how grateful I am that I get to do what I wanted since I was 3 years old.
Last night in Mexico City, the crowd was wild. We’re up on stage with a lot to do and a lot to remember in a nearly 3 hour show, and sometimes, we can’t take in the enormity of the event, and what it means for the community.
I was struck with the passion of the crowd in Mexico totaling more than 60,000 people per night.
You know what jumped out to me? At the very end of the show, when Paul is kindly acknowledging the people it takes to put on our show, he called out the sound man, Pablo, the lighting guy, Wally, etc.
With each one of these talents named out, the enormous crowd all turned to look for that person and applaud them. It was stunning. Big love to Paul, our band of brothers, and incredible tour family.
I’ll have big news about new solo music soon, so please stay tuned!
Meanwhile, I thought it would be fun to offer a flash sale. Everything in the store will be 50% off for one week starting Black Friday.
