Paul McCartney posted about his joy at seeing Dion back on the concert circuit on social media back in September: “It’s been so great to see the amazing reaction to Céline’s comeback in Paris. There’s so much love out there for her,” “I’m so excited that she’s part of our High in the Clouds film. I’ve just been listening to some of her parts, and I’m blown away by it. Wow, what a talent. We are very lucky to have her as part of the team. Can’t wait to share it with the world.”

Dion joins a star-studded voice cast led by Himesh Patel and Hannah Waddingham, which features McCartney, Idris Elba, Lionel Richie, Ringo Starr, and Jimmy Fallon, alongside many others.

Additionally, Waddingham, Patel, and McCartney will contribute their voices to original songs throughout the film. The soundtrack to be released worldwide by Universal Music Group.

High in the Clouds tracks the journey of Wirral (Patel), a teenage squirrel who inadvertently ignites a rebellion against Gretsch (Waddingham)—a domineering owl diva who outlawed music in his hometown—leading him on an epic quest to bring music back. Dion lends her voice to Sugartail, Wirral’s mother.

Oscar-winning composer Michael Giacchino (Up), whose extensive credits include Ratatouille, Inside Out, Coco, and Klara and the Sun, crafted the original score built around McCartney’s musical themes.
