During the fourteenth day of the Get Back sessions, the Beatles focused heavily on refining “Get Back,” a process significantly bolstered by Billy Preston’s contributions. While the song’s signature galloping rhythm and John Lennon’s final guitar solo were still missing, the coda had been established, and Paul McCartney had narrowed the structure down to two verses.

One particular take from this session was selected by Glyn Johns for the initial, unreleased version of the Get Back album—a collection that would later gain notoriety as the Kum Back bootleg.

Beyond their primary focus, the band revisited “Oh! Darling,” which was eventually earmarked for Abbey Road, and Ringo Starr introduced three-chord piano rendition of “Octopus’s Garden.” The day was also peppered with brief, experimental covers; they performed “Please Please Me” with a dissonant new melody and “Help!” with a slow, swinging feel, both lasting under a minute. They also attempted Eddie Cochran’s “Twenty Flight Rock”, ranging from “Maxwell’s Silver Hammer” to various jams and covers, were eventually featured in the second part of the 2021 Get Back documentary.
