During this sixth session, Paul McCartney was the first to arrive at Twickenham Film Studios, where he spent time working at the piano. He practiced “Her Majesty” and “Another Day” for the first time—the latter of which would become McCartney’s debut solo single in 1971.

Additionally, Paul revisited his instrumental piece, “The Castle Of The King Of The Birds.” Group work included “I’ve Got A Feeling,” “One After 909,” and “Two Of Us,” as well as “For You Blue,” which evolved into a punchier rock song.

They also performed “She Came In Through The Bathroom Window” and “Across The Universe,” experimenting with various arrangements, lyric changes, and plenty of humor.

Directed by Paul, “Let It Be” was played a total of 16 times, with John taking over on bass guitar during this part of the day. McCartney performed “Commonwealth” in the style of Elvis Presley, and the band also played “Suzy Parker,” “Teddy Boy,” “Junk,” and “Penina,” later returning to work further on “Teddy Boy.”

Several classics from the 50s and 60s were covered, such as “Honey Hush,” “Good Rockin’ Tonight,” and “Tennessee.” Finally, George Harrison performed Bob Dylan’s “Mama, You Been On My Mind” on acoustic guitar. The full list of songs recorded on this day is as follows:
