Michael Caine broke the hearts of his fanbase when he discussed potential retirement earlier this week – but put potential plans to one side to celebrate his birthday with Paul. Sir Michael Caine is undoubtedly one of the biggest Brit acting icons of all time – having celebrated over sixty years in the movie business.
The Dark Knight star has over 167 films under his belt, but undoubtedly his most iconic movie is 1969’s The Italian Job, which saw him coin the iconic phrase: “You were only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!”
The acting legend turned 85 on Wednesday and to celebrate he attended the My Generation film screening at the British Film Institute.
He was joined by Paul, at the unveiling of his new documentary that pays tribute to the swinging sixties – arguably Sir Michael’s most iconic decade in acting.
The two sirs were pictured together in a snap with Paul standing behind a seated Sir Michael.
Sir Michael is currently working on a number of projects including The King Of Thieves – based on the now-infamous Hatton Garden heist.
