Specials from Paul McCartney and Bruce Springsteen have received multiple nominations for the 71st Annual Primetime Emmy Awards.

Carpool Karaoke: When Corden Met McCartney Live from Liverpool and Springsteen on Broadway were both nominated for Outstanding Variety Special (Pre-Recorded)and Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special.
The McCartney/Carpool Karaoke special received three additional nominations for Oustanding Writing for a Variety Special, Oustanding Picture Editing for Variety Programming and Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Variety Series or Special.

The 71st Annual Primetime Emmy Awards will air live from the Microsoft Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, September 22 at 8 PM ET/5 PM PT on Fox.
