RINGO STARR IS BACK ON TOUR AND HAS ANNOUNCED A NEW STUDIO ALBUM

Ringo Starr is back on the road this week with his All Starr Band. Speaking from rehearsals, he shared, “I think the new version of the anthology is great, but I haven’t seen Episode 9, so I can’t tell you anything about it. It’s going to be a surprise for me, too.” Ringo also confirmed the rumors that he just wrapped up a new studio album, which is his second consecutive country LP and the third of his career. He’s once again teamed up with acclaimed producer T Bone Burnett.

Ringo’s successful country album with T Bone, Look Up, was released in January. It earned him his first UK number one and charted in the Top 10 on various Billboard charts. Regarding the follow-up album, Ringo said, “I loved making the record. T-Bone is great and musical, and he just knows his stuff. It was very easy; he made it easy for me. So I’ve just finished my part on another country album.”

He added, “I love country music, so there are no problems with it. I’ve written two songs for the new one, and we’re covering a Carl Perkins song. My first recordings with the Beatles were Carl Perkins songs. I love Carl.”
