Six decades after establishing itself as a masterpiece, The Beatles’ Rubber Soul shines once again on the international charts. Driven by the highly anticipated release of its expanded Super Deluxe Edition, the album re-entered the US Billboard 200 at No. 4 with 58K units following its ‘Super Deluxe’ reissue, while making a strong impact across multiple official charts in the UK.

The renewed enthusiasm for this reissue demonstrated the immense power of physical formats. In the British market, the special edition of Rubber Soul became the best-selling vinyl of the week, taking the top spot on the Official Vinyl Albums Chart, which also fueled its solid performance in the US market.

Battle on the UK Charts

Following the release of the official UK chart positions for the week of October 8–14, 2026, the competition at the top was remarkably tight.

Mid-week updates showed The Beatles leading the main Albums Chart; however, they were ultimately overtaken by the band Blossoms with Songs From The Wedding Cake.

Consequently, on the Official UK Albums Chart, Rubber Soul secured the No. 2 spot.

Similarly, on the Album Sales Chart, Blossoms took the No. 1 position, leaving The Beatles at No. 2.

Lastly, on the Official Record Store Chart (Independent Retailers), Blossoms topped the list while Rubber Soul took the fifth spot.

The original album, which reached the top of the charts on both sides of the Atlantic in 1966, proves to have extraordinary longevity.

Competing for the top spots on the Billboard 200 and reigning in UK vinyl sales confirms that the music of The Beatles continues to captivate listeners across generations.
