Jon Bon Jovi is joining forces with fellow music legend Paul McCartney for a delightful joint project that highlights their shared appreciation for melody and kinship.
Bon Jovi is the newest high-profile personality to participate in a CBeebies Bedtime Story segment. This UK broadcast channel airs programming specifically for young viewers aged six and below.
The iconic singer is set to narrate McCartney’s creation, Hey Grandude!. McCartney’s official site describes the publication as “a lively, adventure-filled picture book introducing a whimsical, fearless explorer grandpa—the namesake Grandude—and his four grandchildren, whom he affectionately calls the Chillers. They embark on thrilling journeys, including surfing on airborne fish, evading large herds of running animals, and surviving mountain snowslides.”
Explaining his choice, Bon Jovi told the BBC that he selected McCartney’s children’s title because:
““it’s written by the great Paul McCartney, singer, songwriter, storyteller. He’s someone I’ve always admired and looked up to, not just for his music but for his parenting and grandparenting skills. He’s a dear friend and someone we all admire.“
Additionally, Bon Jovi will appear on an episode of the CBeebies Parenting Helpline podcast, which will be made available on the CBeebies Parenting website and BBC Sounds on Thursday, November 27, 2025.
Paul McCartney has eight grandchildren. These include his daughter Mary McCartney‘s four sons (Arthur, Elliot, Sam, and Sid) and his daughter Stella McCartney‘s four children (Miller, Bailey, Beckett, and Reiley). McCartney is a parent to Heather, Mary, Stella, James, and Beatrice McCartney.
