​The Beatles launched their first day at Twickenham Film Studios with an intensive session from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., focusing on the “I Should Have Known Better” sequence.

To capture the scene, the crew constructed a replica train guard’s van and manually rocked it to simulate movement while the band mimed along.

Interestingly, director Richard Lester had to briefly halt production when he noticed the technicians were swaying the set in perfect rhythm with the music, which ruined the illusion of a moving train.

The final film proved to be a triumph, earning both critical acclaim and commercial success, as well as two Academy Award nominations, including Best Original Screenplay.
