FURTHER CASTING HAS BEEN ANNOUNCED FOR 'HAMBURG DAYS'

The upcoming six-part drama Hamburg Days has unveiled a fresh wave of talent to join its already impressive ensemble. Currently in production across Hamburg, Munich, and Liverpool, this prestige series is being spearheaded by showrunner Christian Schwochow (The Crown) and head writer Jamie Carragher (Succession).

The series, which is inspired by the autobiographical accounts of Klaus Voormann, delves into the transformative early 1960s. It captures the gritty atmosphere of the St. Pauli red-light district, where a raw, inexperienced band from Liverpool first encountered artists like Voormann and Astrid Kirchherr—a collision that would eventually ignite the global cultural phenomenon of The Beatles.

Expanding the Ensemble The production has confirmed several high-profile additions to the cast:

Asa Butterfield (Sex Education) will portray Brian Epstein, the band’s iconic manager.

Jonny Lee Miller (Trainspotting) takes on the role of Jim McCartney, Paul’s father.

Additional newcomers include Christine Tremarco (Aunt Mimi), Darci Shaw (Cynthia Lennon), Ryan Sampson (Alan Williams), Archie George (Tony Sheridan), Jorden Myrie (Lord Woodbine), Lea Drinda (Astrid Kirchherr), Tash Major (Dot Rhone), and Louis McCartney (Ringo Starr).

These actors join the previously announced core group, which features Rhys Mannion (John Lennon), Ellis Murphy (Paul McCartney), Harvey Brett (George Harrison), Louis Landau (Stu Sutcliffe), Patrick Gilmore (Pete Best), and Casper von Bülow (Klaus Voormann).

The film centers on the early 1960s club scene, the group’s musical coming-of-age process, and their developing potential. The perspective that Klaus Voormann brings to the film is very important—an insider of the story who witnessed the transformation of The Beatles.
