Casting call for extras in North Wales for The Beatles biopics. Four films directed by Skyfall’s Sam Mendes are currently in production, set for a simultaneous worldwide release on April 7, 2028.

The Beatles’ history with Wales is defined by their early live performances, personal connections, and most significantly, the transformative 1967 spiritual retreat that fundamentally altered the band’s trajectory.

Each member of The Fab Four will have their own dedicated film, telling their story from their unique perspective. Following shoots in London and Liverpool, and a stint in Barcelona, filming will move to North Wales—specifically Gwynedd and Anglesey—this September.

While exact locations are being kept under wraps to manage potential crowds, there is much speculation that these scenes will recreate iconic moments in the band’s history. The Casting Collective is now looking for people aged 16 and over to join the production as paid background actors. No prior experience is required—just an enthusiasm to be part of cinema history:

“We’re looking for people from all walks of life across the region. If you’re based within easy reach of North Wales and available from September 2026, we’d love to hear from you.”

They are seeking a diverse range of people from all backgrounds who are based within commuting distance of North Wales and available from September 2026. Applicants must have a valid National Insurance number and the legal right to work in the UK (16-year-olds must have completed their GCSEs).
