Paul previously performed at the Alamodome in May 1993, which was the first major concert ever held at the stadium. Also played in San Antonio on October 1, 2014, at the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts. That show served as a fundraising benefit for the then-new venue.

Paul launched the Got Back Tour in 2022. The most recent leg of the trek took place in December 2024, and featured a series of European concerts. The finale, held December 19 at The O2 arena in London, featured surprise appearances by Ringo Starr and Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood. Paul also played a trio of surprise club shows in January 2025 at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City.
