During the conversation, McCartney revisits his childhood in Liverpool, his earliest musical memories, and the artists who shaped his love for music. The journey includes anecdotes about The Beatles‘ relationship with The Rolling Stones and The Kinks, as well as memories of meetings with Elvis Presley, Brian Wilson, and Bob Dylan. In his selection, McCartney added tracks by artists who were key to his musical development, such as Elvis Presley and Buddy Holly, and others who arrived later, like Prince. He also included The Rolling Stones, The Beach Boys, and The Kinks, concluding his selection with a song by John Lennon. These are the 10 songs that defined Paul McCartney’s life:

On May 29, he will release The Boys of Dungeon Lane, his first studio album in over five years. The album title refers to a place in Liverpool that Paul frequented as a child, making nostalgia a fundamental component of this new work.
