"THE THIRD EYE" BY GEORGE HARRISON

A new photographic collection titled “THE THIRD EYE” will present an unprecedented look at The Beatles through the lens of band member George Harrison. This compilation features over 250 vivid color and classic black-and-white images, predominantly never-before-published, covering the period from 1963 to 1969.

These intimate photographs capture the Fab Four engaged in both their musical endeavors and leisure activities, tracing their journey from Liverpool to their historic Shea Stadium concert, and even their visits to places like Adelaide and India.

Olivia Harrison, George’s widow, has taken on the role of compiling and curating this unique volume. Readers will find an essay penned by Olivia herself, along with George’s own commentaries accompanying his photographs. Esteemed author Colm Tóibín, who once served as chancellor of the University of Liverpool, provides the introduction, while the epilogue is contributed by the celebrated Booker Prize laureate, George Saunders.

Olivia Harrison said, “I want to show people, from George’s unique photographic perspective during the Beatles’ early years, the moments when the whole of your life is ahead of you with unknowable possibilities. His images in THE THIRD EYE capture that spirit.”

World rights were sold to Andy Ward at Random House by David Rosenthal. THE THIRD EYE is scheduled for publication in Fall 2026.
