In a highly anticipated reveal, actors Paul Mescal, Barry Keoghan, Joseph Quinn, and Harris Dickinson have debuted their look as the Fab Four in Sir Sam Mendes’ upcoming four-film series, a project currently exploring the group’s journey from their beginnings in Liverpool to their status as the world’s most influential band.
The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA), established by Paul McCartney in 1996, released set postcards that allow fans to form their own opinions. One initial shot shows Mescal portraying a youthful Paul McCartney, looking thoughtfully away from the lens against the iconic brickwork of the historic Cavern Club.
An initial shot of Keoghan portraying drummer Ringo Starr reveals him in the studio, sporting a monochrome polka-dot shirt paired with a psychedelic tie and a set of headphones draped over his shoulders.

Elsewhere, Quinn appears to be shot as a bearded George Harrison towards the end of the band’s career, while Dickinson wears the iconic denim jacket and round spectacles favoured by John Lennon in 1968.

LIPA captioned the Instagram post: ‘We’ve been given exclusive postcards promoting the new Beatles movies!  We’ve hidden them around LIPA, and we want students to find them.’

This production represents a historic milestone, as it is the first time Apple Corps Ltd and the Beatles—along with the estates of Lennon and Harrison—have authorized complete life story and music rights for a dramatized feature film.

The films are being produced by Neal Street Productions for Sony Pictures Entertainment, with Sam Mendes directing all four movies.

The project consists of four interconnected films, with each film told from the distinct perspective of one of the band members.

This project is unique in that it is the first time the band members and Apple Corps have authorized a full-scale, scripted, authorized biopic, offering a more intimate, in-depth look at their story.

The films are scheduled to arrive in theaters in April 2028.
