Speaking to the crowd via a video message, Ringo said:
“Hi there everybody, Ringo here. I believe you are there for a listening party, I hope you enjoy it. “But I am still amazed that The Jacaranda club is still there and happening. How great! It was such a thing when I was a lad, it was a step up and it’s great that you’re still doing it and you’re letting the new bands in. Peace and love to all of you, have a great night.”
Ringo Starr’s latest album is set to be released this week.
To celebrate, Jacaranda Records is currently hosting an official listening party accompanied by a special video message from Ringo himself. Access was available via a limited free ticket or an album-and-ticket bundle. The event began at 5:30 pm today at The Jacaranda on Slater Street in Liverpool city center.
Ringo Starr‘s new album, Long Long Road, is his second collaboration with T Bone Burnett and features guest appearances by Sheryl Crow, Billy Strings, Molly Tuttle, Sarah Jarosz, and St. Vincent.
