RUBBER SOUL INCLUDES THE UNRELEASED TRACK "LITTLE GIRL"

The Beatles‘ Rubber Soul gets massive expanded reissue featuring lost John Lennon track. Scheduled for an October 2 release via Apple Corps Ltd. and UMG, a newly expanded edition of the 1965 classic Rubber Soul will feature a long-lost John Lennon track titled “Little Girl,” which remained hidden in private archives for decades.

Producer Giles Martin shared with Rolling Stone how the surprising discovery came to light during the planning stages of the reissue, noting that it emerged from the Lennon Estate—courtesy of Sean Lennon—with a casual, “Oh, and then there’s this.”

Alongside the original mono mix, the upcoming reissue introduces: A fresh stereo mix derived from the original four-track masters by Martin and engineer Sam Okell, A brand-new Dolby Atmos mix, The original Capitol US release version, A collection of previously unheard studio recordings and home demos.

The project will be available in standard 1CD and 1LP formats, 2CD and 2LP deluxe editions, and limited-edition zoetrope and orange vinyl variants.

For dedicated collectors, the Super Deluxe editions arrive as comprehensive 4CD and 5LP box sets encompassing 68 tracks. The vinyl collection specifically includes a 7-inch single featuring “We Can Work It Out” and “Day Tripper.”

Additionally, the box sets are accompanied by an 88-page hardback book featuring an introduction penned by Paul McCartney, a foreword compiled from John Lennon’s personal words, detailed track notes, rare photographs, and an in-depth examination of the album’s historical backdrop.
