THE BEATLES APPEAR ON THE TV SHOW “BIG NIGHT OUT”

On February 23, 1964, the Beatles headed to the Teddington Studio Centre to film their second stint on ABC‘s variety program, Big Night Out.
Performing before a live audience, the Fab Four showcased their range by participating in three comedic sketches alongside lip-synced renditions of hits like “All My Loving,” “I Wanna Be Your Man,” and “I Want to Hold Your Hand.” The full episode eventually hit the airwaves on February 29th.
This installment of Big Night Out made its debut across the majority of the ITV network on Saturday, February 29, airing in the 6:35–7:25 pm time slot. While nearly all of the Beatles‘ set was featured, “Money” was notably omitted from the broadcast. Joining the Fab Four on the lineup that evening were fellow entertainers Billy Dainty, Jackie Trent, and Lionel Blair.
