JACARANDA RELEASE PARTY THIS FRIDAY FEATURING THE NEW ALBUM BY PAUL McCARTNEY
The Jacaranda has been selected as the premier global venue to debut Paul McCartney‘s latest record.
Paul revealed that the historic Slater Street spot will host the world’s very first public listening session for his upcoming release this coming Friday.
Titled The Boys of Dungeon Lane and scheduled for a May 27 launch, this project stands as McCartney‘s most deeply personal work yet, looking back at his youth in Liverpool and the formative moments that defined his own path as well as the trajectory of The Beatles.
Selecting The Jacaranda was a deliberate choice; it is the exact location where he used to play, hang out, practice with his fellow musicians, and notoriously set off for their transformative residency in Hamburg. Consequently, the venue is intimately connected to the personal history woven throughout the tracks.
Although exclusive, private previews have previously occurred at Abbey Road and across America, this gathering at the Liverpool landmark represents the initial chance for the general public anywhere on the globe to experience the entire record.
Scheduled four days prior to any other sanctioned listening events and a whole week ahead of the official street date, admission passes are currently available for purchase at the price of £8.

Just as it did back in the 1950s, The Jacaranda continues to operate as an essential independent music space and one of the nation’s most celebrated landmarks, offering live performances almost daily and serving as a central gathering point for local talent.
Jack Rowley, Marketing, PR & Social Media Manager for The Jacaranda Records said: ” I remember seeing Paul McCartney at the Isle of Wight Festival in 2010, standing in the crowd thinking there was nowhere else on earth I’d rather be. Hopefully, we’ll have a room full of people feeling that same way as they listen to The Boys of Dungeon Lane before anybody else. Get your tickets, be quick!”
The Beatles gave their first concert at the Jacaranda Club (owned by their manager Allan Williams) on May 30, 1960, under the name Silver Beetles. Subsequently, already under the official name of The Beatles with their first five-member lineup, they played again at The Jacaranda in August 1960.
