John Lennon’s handwritten lyrics for ‘If I Fell’ written on the back of an unfolded Valentine’s Day card fetched $656,250 at Heritage Auctions’ Hollywood & Entertainment Signature Auction. Composed during the Beatles’ inaugural U.S. trip for their Ed Sullivan Show debut, the version of “If I Fell” as featured in the A Hard Day’s Night film, the item provides a direct connection to the band’s rapid ascent in America.

Its position among the auction’s premier lots emphasizes its scarcity and historical significance.
