In anticipation of the debut of “The Beatles Anthology” on Disney+ during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, Disney organized an exclusive preview event at the BFI Southbank in London.

A significant gathering of high-profile attendees graced the occasion, including celebrities like Joanna Lumley, Richard Curtis, and Felix White, alongside several members of The Beatles’ immediate family: Olivia Harrison, Jay Starkey, Mary McCartney, and Lee Starkey, among others.

This screening was presented in partnership with The Rest Is History and drew a crowd of notable figures from the music and entertainment industries. The VIP guest list featured names such as Griff Rhys Jones, Sir Tony Robinson, John Simm, Gary Kemp, Tim McInnerny, and Apple Corps CEO, Tom Greene.

Following the presentation, author and journalist Caitlin Moran moderated a captivating Q&A session. The panel consisted of ardent Beatles enthusiasts: actress Joanna Lumley, screenwriter/director Richard Curtis, musician Felix White, and the director of the new ninth installment, Oliver Murray.

“The Beatles Anthology” is a seminal documentary series that provides an exploration of the history and careers of the world’s most iconic and revered band, narrated in their own words.

The series has been masterfully restored and extended from eight to nine episodes, offering viewers an unparalleled and personal perspective on The Beatles’ famed journey and internal dynamics.

A notable addition is the revealing ninth episode, which contains footage never before seen, showcasing Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr working together during the development of the original “Anthology” series and associated music project back in the 1990s.
